Building a Family of Lake Management Partners

The Goldsby family sought a partner to capitalize on existing growth, fueling new growth and allow management to offload office work so they could focus on promoting services. The partnership created new opportunity for long-term team members as we opened a second location and created two new Branch Manager roles. 

We also acquired Arkansas Fisheries Solutions, rebranded the business as Aqua Services and retained the founder, Will Glenn, as Branch Manager for our new Little Rock, AR location. 

Not only has Aqua Services been able to expand and promote from within with the support of Jones Lake Management, the new structure has also enabled the Goldsby family to focus on their passions. While Bryan opted for a well-deserved retirement after a year of transitioning his responsibilities, Troy and Terry are still involved in day-to-day operations and serve on our Board of Founders. Troy continues to manage properties on a select number of clients; Terry continues to manage relationships with key clients and helps our team identify new partnership opportunities.

Britney & Corey Zickert were looking to step away from day-to-day operations & find partner that had aligned interests. With the support of Jones Lake Management, WLPR has been able to expand and promote from within. Joey Berg, 10 year team member, was promoted to Branch Manager of the Eldorado, WI location; Nick Lorge, 7 year team member, was promoted to Branch Manager of the newly opened Waterford, WI location; and their son, Nate Zickert, stepped up to take over the eco-development part of the business. 

Cory and Brittney are both members of the Board of Founders, with Cory currently serving as the Board's first Chairman.  They are both still active in day-to-day operations, but after a 2+ year progressive transition, they're hoping to achieve their goal of "full retirement" at the end of 2025.

Co-founders, Joe and Colin, sought a partner who could help them scale in the Northeast market while easing the burden of back-office responsibilities. Joe now leads as Director of Sales across the JLM family of brands, focusing his energy on expanding client relationships, while Colin has taken on the critical role of training Water & Wetland’s growing team of field biologists. Together, these shifts highlight how JLM empowers acquired companies to thrive by supporting leaders, elevating employees, and fueling long-term growth in every market we serve.

The Gerber family was looking for a partner who could both help expand their business in existing and surrounding markets while also allowing them to realize the value of their initial investment. As part of the new structure, Aquatic Management promoted an 11-year veteran of the team to Operations Manager, ensuring leadership continuity and growth from within. In addition, former owner Nick Gerber has taken on the role of Branch Manager, continuing to guide day-to-day operations and support the team’s success.

While the former owners did not join the Board of Founders, their legacy of leadership and commitment to clients remains central to Aquatic Management’s identity. Andrew “Andy” Hall, founder of Clear Water, was looking for a partner who could help accelerate the rapid growth of his business while strengthening its foundation for the future.
