Fountain Lease FAQs

Leasing a unit helps you enjoy a more powerful, better equipped fountain with lower upfront costs.  You can enjoy a premier fountain at a fixed price. When your lease is up, you can lease a new fountain, extend your existing lease or simply return the fountain.  Plus, as an added thank you to our lake management clients, you'll save 15% off fountain leasing, adding even more value to your comprehensive management plan.

Lease terms vary based on the size of the fountain unit:

  • 3-year lease for ½ to 1 HP units
  • 4-year lease for 2 to 5 HP units
  • 5-year lease for 7.5 to 10 HP units

Yes! We pull the fountain after November 1st and reinstall it before April 1st (weather permitting) to prevent ice damage and maintain the manufacturer’s warranty. This service is included in your lease at no additional cost.

The leasing program includes full installation of the fountain, light set (if applicable), power cords, anchors, mooring lines, and a timer control panel. We also handle all preventative and reactive maintenance, winterization, and reinstallation each season.

Electrical setup is not included in our surface aeration programs. Clients are responsible for electrical service and energizing the control panel before installation. Our team will coordinate electrical requirements with your electrician to streamline installation.

Annual lease payments are due once per year, with the first payment required at signing. The exact amount due will depend on the fountain unit selected.

Lake management clients that add surface aeration to their annual program will simply have the service fee added to their invoice.  If you'd like to know how adding this service will affect your lake management cost, contact your local office for assistance.

No, Jones Lake Management retains ownership and will maintain, repair and replace the unit as needed.

Yes, as a thank-you for your continued partnership, active lake management clients receive 15% off fountain leasing, adding even more value to your comprehensive service plan.

Leasing is a turnkey solution with a lower upfront cost.  You make a consistent annual payment and we'll handle the rest. If you own, you pay more on the front end; we can work with you to manage winterization, maintenance and repair needs as they come up.

Excluding the the time savings / turnkey nature of leasing and just focusing on the finacials, for a typical unit, the breakeven point is usually around 6 years.  If you own the unit and it lasts longer than that, you will save money by owning; however, the math resets whenever you have to replace the unit.
