After decades of leading Environmental Technology, owner James Benser began seeking a succession plan that would allow him to retire with confidence: knowing his employees, customers, and the reputation he built would remain in good hands. His priorities were clear: protect his team, preserve the company’s high standards of work, and ensure the business would continue to thrive long after his transition.
James found the right partner in Jones Lake Management, where shared values and a commitment to long-term stewardship created a natural fit. From the outset, JLM focused on providing stability, growth, and continuity for the Environmental Technology staff. A part-time employee was immediately offered full-time employment, and the branch is in the process of adding administrative support to strengthen operations. In addition, a legacy Jones employee relocated to Ringwood to assume the role of Operations Manager and assume James’s day-to-day responsibilities as he steps back during the first year of partnership.
With this support structure in place, James has been able to reduce the operational burdens that once filled his schedule. Instead, he now concentrates on the aspects of the business he enjoys most, while preparing for a smooth and thoughtful exit.
